In addition to vacancies arising from transfer of Fay and Monkhouse, a further vacancy will arise on retirement of 37:47 CRFF Booker. My staff savingram No. 559 of 19th November, 1947,
refers.

Grateful if every effort could be made to fill these vacancies as soon as possible. The Commissioner of Police is now on leave in England and available for consultation. It is thought that he would welcome transfers from Palestine or Ceylon.

Revised salary scale (which has not yet received your specific approval) and conditions of service are to be found in vacancy form attached.
